The Crombie family resided in Brant county, Ontario, Canada, since 1760. There, the family lived on a farm and produced an assortment of fruits, vegetation and gravel. Edward Crombie, the father of the family, created The Daily Twitter, from 1918 to 1925, as a way to record his and his family’s daily activities and lives on the farm. Within the Daily Twitter, Edward Crombie detailed daily activities as a family, talked about the weather, highlighted major events such as Thanksgiving, and list visitors that came to see them at the farm. The structure of the contents within the Daily Twitter were similar across the various days of the week and appeared read as a diary of the families experiences, as well as drawn images that the author added in.
