Born in 1874 Edward Crombie was a retired banker and an active farmer throughout the late 19th Century and early 20th Century. After purchasing the farm in 1912, the married father of 3 children took great responsibility in leading his family through an interesting and well-documented life on the farm in Paris, On. He wrote many newsletters, diaries, poems and short stories, his contributions are vital to the family archives and help give readers an understanding of rural life in Canada during the 1920’s.
