This map is a visualization showing the distance from the Gilston Farm (home of the Crombie’s to a local gravel pit in the early 1900’s. Throughout our data collection and research we noted frequent inputs of gravel coming to the farm, the proximity of the gravel pit in relation to the farm may help explain these inputs. This map shows the locations of the old Crombie farm as well as the new Crombie residence in the 2000’s. Interestingly but not surprisingly, the farm area has been converted into a housing development and the landscape has changed quite dramatically over the ~100 year period.
