Thanks for joining us!
This site displays research from HUMAN 2DH3: Introduction to Digital Humanities. Pages are student-created and are based on in-class assignments conducted between January and April 2019.
All research is based on the Crombie Family’s Daily Twitter, a diary from the Crombie Family Fonds held at McMaster University in Archives and Research Collections.
Our work with the Daily Twitter was meant to introduce students to methods in digital analysis. The visualizations you see here were produced in class based on a (limited) dataset. Results should not be taken as conclusive but were meant to provoke questions – about the Crombie family, Ontario history, and digital methods as a humanities tool.
Special thanks to McMaster Archives and Research Collections for your help and guidance throughout the semester!
